I’ve seen this moment and gifs of this moment a million times, but this is the time (looking at Stiles adjusting his collar there) that I suddenly wanted a Stiles and Jackson body swap story. I DON’T KNOW WHERE THE DESIRE CAME FROM, BUT NOW IT’S HERE.
Like, Jackson would have to figure out how to be nice to at least some people and approximate a functional relationship with Sheriff Stilinski. Stiles would confuse everyone because on his worst day he’s nowhere near as consistently dismissive or scathing as Jackson, except maybe when it comes to Jackson. Also, Stiles would get to know what it’s like to be a werewolf!! Maybe?

for real this time, the last thing I’ll say about this banana angstfest of a finale: this conversation was heartbreaking and Stiles’ life has had some terrible stretches and yep, this is all about his mom, but it’s also about him, and not really about Lydia at all, and that is not awesome. Lydia’s choices are her own and if she wants to stomp into danger and risk her life to save someone she loves, it is her choice!! it has nothing to do with him, because why should it? he’s only lied to her and kept her in the dark since she was almost mauled to death; even if they weren’t teenage idiots, Lydia owes him nothing at all. Lydia Martin does what she wants!! and that is absolutely okay.

This was the first time I’ve ever been mad at Stiles, and may it never happen again because it was torture being mad at the most beautiful painting of a fucking spark in the entire world, but I feel that he made up for it by being like “HEY GURL GET IN MY JEEP AND WE’LL DRIVE TO THE DANGER AND SAVE JACKSON FOR YOU” later on. There must be some sort of deleted scene where he’s like SORRY 4 BEING AN INFORMATION-CONTROLLING MONSTER BUT I HAVE A LOT OF SAD EMOTIONS AND I DON’T WANT ANYONE TO DIE BUT YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT AND I’LL HELP YOU LET’S GO. Lydia didn’t just teleport into his jeep!!!!!!!! THEY MUST’VE TALKED OUT SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes to all of this and also god dammit i want that deleted scene. Fuck man, can the first episode of season 3 just be all of the deleted scenes from the last few days of everyone’s lives that didn’t make it into the last three episodes?
The only other time I’ve ever been mad at Stiles was when he was all “let’s kill Jackson!” several times in one episode because SERIOUSLY, BRO???? Just gonna murder a dude who is being mind-controlled?? Thank goodness for your lambchop best friend. This scene marks time number 2 of me silent raging at him. STILES, I’M REALLY SORRY FOR YOU, AND I’MMA LET YOU FINISH, BUT LYDIA MARTIN IS THE HERO OF THE FINALE. The only thing that saved this scene even a little for me was Lydia basically saying BOY, BYE after. I want that deleted scene with his extended apology too.
