Gigantic, Gigantic -- a big, big love

Ceej here. Livejournal there.

This tumblr is basically an extension of my ridiculousness as a person. Right now my main fandom is NHL hockey, but I get excited about other stuff too! Feel free to message me. I love making friends. Hover quote from is from the movie "Memento" (2000).

Do you have any funny stories, either on set or off?

HEMSWORTH: Chris [Evans] sent us a text that said, “Avengers assemble at such and such bar, at 9 o’clock on Saturday night.” That was a good group effort. We paid for it at work, the next couple of days.
RUFFALO: You should see that group hug.
HEMSWORTH: At three in the morning, on the dance floor.
DOWNEY: Ruffalo, weren’t you the one throwing the roof parties?
RUFFALO: Yeah, that was me.
DOWNEY: So, you were the group instigator.
RUFFALO: I was the group hugger.
HEMSWORTH: I keep getting asked about who was the biggest diva. This was the first time I worked with these guys, and we all are either that well-behaved, or everyone kept each other in check. No one wanted to be the one who screwed it up.
RUFFALO: I just remember going to someone’s place with a group of half-naked stuntmen in a hot tub, and Scarlett Johansson standing over them with a giant ladle, making boy soup.

Lovely Bones, you were going to do that one and then it didn’t happen.
-We just had wildly different ideas.

I mean, Ryan Gosling of my heart, obviously, yes. But also, look at Mark Ruffalo. <3

Cole (to Ryan): The Lovely Bones, you were gonna to do that one and it didn’t happen…
Ryan: We just had wildly different ideas about what the film should be and I’m just an actor, it’s none of my business, it’s the director’s movie. But if you can’t get on board with that vision then you’ll be secretly sort of sabotaging it. And I didn’t want to be that.
Stephen: How did that come about? Did you say something to Peter or did he say something to you?
Ryan: I was 150 lbs. when he hired me and I showed up on set 210 lbs. We had a different idea of how the character should look. I really believed he should be 210 lbs. I was melting Häagen-Dazs and drinking it when I was thirsty. And I really believed in it and I was excited about it. I showed up and they said, ‘You look terrible’ and I said, ‘I know! Isn’t it great?’. They said, ‘No, it’s not. Hit the treadmill’. I just showed up and had gotten it wrong. Then I was fat and unemployed. (x)
