Gigantic, Gigantic -- a big, big love

Ceej here. Livejournal there.

This tumblr is basically an extension of my ridiculousness as a person. Right now my main fandom is NHL hockey, but I get excited about other stuff too! Feel free to message me. I love making friends. Hover quote from is from the movie "Memento" (2000).

“The first day that we worked together, there was a chemistry there that hopefully we’ll get to explore in the other movies.” - Chris Pine

“Bones! Buckle up.”

A good representation of the Star Trek movie (2009).
I spent all afternoon making this, hopefully no one has done this yet.

Star Trek Modern Day City AU

In which Kirk is never on-time to work, Spock owns a loft with the greatest view in the entire city, McCoy just wants to make it to the weekend (damnit),  Scotty secretly enjoys working for the IT department, Uhura is the fiercest closer in the city, Sulu gets mugged while driving his cab one night, Chekov earned two college degrees by the age of seventeen and yet is somehow fetching Kirk’s coffee orders, and Pike is overseeing it all to make sure no one kills one another. They fight - they laugh - they cry - they fall in love - and sometimes, they manage to get a good night’s sleep.

Can we all just agree that the greatest tech advancement in Star Trek is a universal video format? Klingon ships, Romulan ships, Vulcan ships, Human ships … not once does a captain say “On screen,” followed by a plugin error message.
- (some guy on Facebook, anonymously quoted on reddit)
-

“Stand by, Captain — it says we need to update the Java plugin so we can run GoToMeeting.”

“Why didn’t they just use WebEx?”

“The Romulans must not have a license for it.”

“But it’s free. Isn’t it?”

“If they’d Skyped in, we could’ve just used the ship’s webcam.”

“Captain, the warbird doesn’t show up on my list of Facetime contacts.”

“I think we need to sync our address book.”

“We should’ve just used Tinychat.”

“Why don’t we start a Google Hangout?”

“Shut up, Wesley.”

With what we established in the first movie, you can expect their bond. These individuals are connected. The same way the entire crew is connected, but Uhura and Spock have a very special relationship, that whether they are together or not remains to be seen..they will still be bonded forever.
